Part 2:
A couple of weeks ago Damon from Pride Auto rang to let me know the TJM front underbody guard was finally on its way after being on backorder from TJM since March. So the cruiser was booked in for its next round of work.
On the list for this visit was an override switch for the dual batter isolator and a tidy up of the accessories wiring under the bonnet and finally trouble shooting the reversing camera which started intermittently losing the signal a couple of weeks ago.
Luke did an amazing job of tidying up of the wiring and connections into the second battery and even included an additional fuse box to help with fault finding.
The guard fits in very nicely and it’s reassuring to know there is that extra protection for those times you don’t quite check that water crossing as well as you should have!
Trying to source the issue of an unresponsive reversing camera wasn’t as successful so the next step is to install a relay into the loop and see if that makes a difference.
While talking about the benefits of the Water Watch, Luke suggested that an Exhaust temp gauge would be handy if doing long drives on the highway to protect the turbo. Keen to know if anyone has recommendations for this.
Still to go:
- Winch
- Autron Cruise control
- 48 litre Longranger water tank
- DPChip
- 3 Inch Exhaust System (TaipanXP SS)
- Front Seat Upgrade
- Allied Black 16x8" rims and 285/75/R16 KM/2s
- LED driving lights
- Stereo
- HF Radio
- Safari Snorkel
