After going over some options with Damon at Pride Auto, the halogen camp light that comes with the Kaymar rear bar has been replaced with a Narva LED. It gives out more light with a better spread for a lower power draw. LEDs really are the way to go for this sort of stuff. It required a very small drill out of the original mounting point but all in all took Damon about 20 minutes to install.
The only other update on the horizon is the long ranger water tank. It's up to a 6 week wait and has doubled in price since they started using stainless steel (some customers had complained about the taste of the water in the aluminum tanks) so it's been ordered but it feels a long way off and I haven't quite got over the cost yet. At least the long lead time gives some times to pull the extra pennies together to bridge the gap!!
Have done some further research on 16x8 wheels and the Allied Savanna looks like the wheel I'll go with. I wouldn't mind seeing the black vs the silver somewhere other than on the net to get a better comparison; leaning towards the black at this stage though. Taipan has also won my exhaust $, they were very helpful and provided a good package and follow up support. It's 13 months until the trip to the Cape so still have some good time to get all this together and tested, although I am sure that time will fly :-)
